11/10 Mashable
Well what do you know there is stuff going on with the war that we haven't heard about... who would have thought? Really makes me wonder what else is all going on over there that nobody back in the states knows about. I think its a good idea that the royal family has been trying to keep up with social media even if they still aren't doing it well, they will most likely improve over time and with help from others. Maybe they should sit in on one of our SMO classes and hear about what it takes to be successful in the social media world. The online tv series sounds like a cool idea and just makes me think of Google TV, a lot of media is beginning to reach into other fields and I think this trend will continue to grow. It seems like the same thing for the new TV check in thing which seems very similar to Foursquare. I'm not exactly sure how it works though, and honestly it just doesn't sound that exciting to me.

11/3 Readings
I think it's a good thing that the older population is really beginning to adopt some of the social media sites. It will definitely help them stay connected with family and for many parents or grandparents I think that's all they're really looking for since so many children rarely get to spend much quality one on one time with family members anymore. I've still yet to get in on the whole Foursquare phenomenon, I think the idea of it sounds cool, and I like that you can even get discounts or deals at a number of places. However I think the phone that I have now is whats limiting me from participating in the game/social network. It's unreal how fast its grown, the one article said that it is now up to 3+ million users. I find this interesting because I only first heard about it in class like 2 or 3 weeks ago, where is everyone going to stay ahead of the social media trends is what I would like to know. I guess reading the Mashable articles is a good place to start.
